Estera, formerly Appleby Fiduciary Business, has appointed Roger Siddle as Non-Executive Chairman.

The new firm say that Mr Siddle brings a wealth of expertise to Estera as it embarks on its journey as an independent fiduciary business.

His experience covers a range of business areas, including strategy, performance and change management, gained from various professional roles as an advisor, professional services manager and public company chief executive.

For over six years until 2007 he was UK Managing Partner of Bain & Company, the leading global business consulting firm. Mr Siddle then became Chief Executive of BPP Holdings plc, one of Europe’s largest professional training and education companies and, more recently, Group Chief Executive of Findel plc, one of the UK’s leading home shopping, educational supplies and healthcare businesses. He is currently non-executive Chairman of regulatory compliance consulting and software business Cordium and a senior corporate adviser and member of the National Development Board for the NSPCC. He also holds an MBA from Harvard.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Siddle said: "It is an honour and a pleasure to have been appointed chairman of Estera at such a pivotal time in its history. I am looking forward to working with a great team and playing my part in helping guide the company to further its success as an independent fiduciary business."

Farah Ballands, CEO of Estera added: "On behalf of Estera I am delighted to welcome Roger to the team. His significant board experience, knowledge of our dynamic industry and personal qualities will be invaluable in accelerating Estera’s growth ambitions globally, while continuing to deliver quality results for our clients."

Estera, formerly Appleby Fiduciary Business, completed its management buyout from the Appleby Group in December 2015.
