Senior appointment at PwC

Thursday 28 February 2019

PwC has appointed Gerlind Smith as Human Capital Director, a role she previously occupied across the regions of East, West and Southern Africa.

Ms Smith has knowledge of the disciplines within Human Capital and has a particular interest in executive development and organisational design required for the future workplace.

Her appointment comes as Alexandra McInnes recently rejoined the Firm as a Director leading PwC's Guernsey Advisory business. Charlotte Beattie has also returned to PwC to take on a senior management role in tax, based in Guernsey.

Commenting on the appointments, Simon Perry, Senior Partner, said: “I'm delighted to announce these appointments, which reinforce our confidence in our Channel Islands’ business. These accomplished individuals will add even more depth to our local leadership team as they all come equipped with a wealth of experience of both PwC networks and the international marketplace, which will help both our clients and our own business develop.

"It’s very pleasing to welcome such senior female talent to our local firm, which I hope will underline how serious I am about encouraging even more women into leadership positions at PwC. Our clients and staff expect us to bring the most diverse outlook to business issues and I am confident these appointments will help us do just that.”
