He is responsible for Reckon’s financial control and strategic financial planning, alongside cash flow, risk management and stakeholder communications. 

The firm said that Mr Murphy contributes a blend of frontline experience building and running financial services businesses, with a particular focus on client servicing and tech-driven modernisation. 

In his previous role with a multi-jurisdictional offshore finance group, he led a team that completed a three-year Enterprise Resource Planning and Management Service project. 

He’s also guided finance teams in CFO and Head of Finance roles through acquisitions and organic growth in multiple jurisdictions, while also overseeing management buy-outs with private equity. 

Mr Murphy is also a committed athlete who competed at the Official Strongman Games European and World Championships. 

Reckon Financial Services launched in September of this year after securing a Trust Company Business licence. 

Mr Murphy said: “It’s hugely satisfying to join an ambitious and growing team in Reckon that’s looking to disrupt financial services for the better.
