Sigma and Cactus partner for launch of cyber security software

Local IT firms Sigma and Cactus have joined forces to launch 'White Cloud Trust Lockdown', which will provide access to patented cyber security software to businesses of all sizes.

Based in the Channel Islands, White Cloud Trust Lockdown solution will be available globally.

Mark Trenchard, Director of Cactus, said: “Traditional security software works by checking inbound traffic to your system against a list of known threats. This reactive model simply cannot keep up. Trust Lockdown flips security screening on its head, using the concept of prevention to keep out any threats to your system.”

Cybercrime currently generates more than $450 billion per annum. For the perpetrators, that’s larger than the entire global drug trade. There have been more attacks and new bits of malware produced in the first quarter of last year than the whole of 2016, approximately 4million an hour.

Robert Sillars, CEO of Sigma, said: “Finding a credible, effective solution for cyber security protection is paramount. Sigma and Cactus believe that Trust Lockdown is that solution and a “must have” for any business. We are delighted to partner with Cactus in the global launch of this revolutionary cybersecurity software, demonstrating to the world, I believe, the skills and expertise that are available here in the islands.”
