WATCH: Awards recognise ‘stars’ of Jersey’s government

The ‘stars’ of Jersey’s government have been recognised in an awards ceremony.

11 awards were presented by members of the States Employment Board to colleagues and teams that had been selected by a panel of judges from a total of 426 nominations.

The event was held at the Royal Jersey Showground and five sponsors – EY, JT, TDP Jersey, Marbral Advisory and ROK FCC Joint Venture – covered the drinks, food and entertainment.

“These awards have honoured our frontline staff who have served Jersey with such distinction over the past year. They have protected lives and livelihoods, and the awards celebrate their achievements,” Mr Martin commented.

Senator Le Fondré thanked everyone who had made the event possible.

  • Employee of the Year award - Donna Murphy, Health and Community Services 

  • Manager of the Year Award - Cath Mearman, Customer and Local Services

  • Team of the Year Award – Covid-19 Vaccination Team

  • Community Champion - Raluca Kovacs, Customer and Local Services

  • Innovation Award - Fees Uprating Team (legislation services drafting), Non-Executive and Legislature 

  • Customer Service Excellence Award - Steven Dicker, Chief Operating Office 

  • Rising Star Award - Patryk Kucza, Chief Operating Office

  • Working in Partnership Award - Work and Family Hub – Care Leaver Support, Customer and Local Services 

  • Sustainability Award - Commercial Services Team, Treasury and Exchequer 

  • Our Superstar Award - Covid-19 Testing Team
