Recent enactments passed by the States Assembly

Description

This Order was made by the Minister for External Relations on 12 October 2017 and comes into force on 19 October 2017. This Order gives further effect, including through criminal penalties, to certain EU standards for processing dairies.

EU Legislation (Milk and Dairies) (Jersey) Order 2017

These Regulations were made by the States on 10 October 2017 and came into force on 11 October 2017. These Regulations transfer the contracts of employment of 7 members of staff from the Department of Infrastructure to Ports of Jersey Limited, with effect from 1 December 2017.

Air and Sea Ports (Incorporation) (Transfer No. 2) (Jersey) Regulations 2017

This Order was made by the Minister for External Relations on 12 October 2017 and came into force on 13 October 2017. This Order gives effect in Jersey to Council Regulation (EU) 2017/1770 of 28 September 2017 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Mali (OJ L 251, 29.9.2017, p.1).

EU Legislation (Sanctions - Mali) (Jersey) Order 2017

This Order was made by the Chief Minister on 6 October 2017 and came into force on 7 October 2017. This Order further amends the Control of Housing and Work (Fees) (Jersey) Order 2013 to set the level of annual charges payable in respect of Registered persons permitted to work in or for undertakings in Jersey under the business licences of such undertakings, and provides for the dates by which such charges are payable.

Control of Housing and Work (Fees) (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2017

These Regulations were made by the States on 10 October 2017 and come into force on 17 October 2017. These Regulations amend the Taxation (Implementation) (International Tax Compliance) (Common Reporting Standard) (jersey) Regulations 2015 to remove the discretion of a reporting financial institution to use, as an alternative to a definition in the CRS of a word or expression in another international agreement; to change the period for which records are required to be kept to at least 5 years after the end of the period within which the reporting financial institution must report the information required to be reported; and to require the Comptroller of Taxes to take into account the CRS and related commentaries on the CRS published on the OECD's website in determining whether a person is liable to a penalty.

Taxation (Implementation) (International Tax Compliance) (Common Reporting Standard) (Amendment) (Jersey) Regulations 2017

This Order was made by the Minister for Social Security on 6 October 2017 and comes into force on 13 October 2017. This Order amends the Health Insurance (Pharmaceutical Benefit) (General Provisions) (No.2) (Jersey) Order 2002;
