Organisers of this year’s Accuro Jersey Triathlon have received a fantastic response to their previous call out and are pleased to announce they are calling for a final 15 volunteers to assist with the course marshalling on Sunday 16th June, ensuring a safe, smooth-running event.
More than a quarter off-island triathletes will be among 500 competitors set to take part in the event, which starts and finishes at Les Jardins De La Mer. Participants will complete a swim in front of Elizabeth Castle, a cycle route out to the West of the island and conclude with a running course around Jersey’s Waterfront.
Volunteers do not need any previous experience, just to be free for 2 to 4 hours on the morning of Sunday 16th June. They must be over 18yrs on the day of the race, or part of a recognized group under the supervision of a leader who is 18+. This event raises money for 4 amazing local charities which are Mind Jersey, Silkworth Lodge, Littlefeet Environmental and Oscar Maclean Foundation.
Without valued support from marshals, this event could not take place. Anyone able to volunteer to support the event by should head to http://www.jersey-triathlon.com/volunteers to register online or to download the registration form which can then be emailed to info@jersey-triathlon.com.
