The 6th June 2019 sees the Annual Jersey Ladies Doubles Tennis Tournament, shopping and lunch in support of Jersey Hospice Care. This is a wonderful event which has become quite a tradition over the last three decades.

‘The morning starts with a ‘round robin’ preliminary round played on local private courts, followed by quarter and semi-finals before lunch. Ladies enter either as a pair, or as set of 8 players. We welcome players of all levels and love to see new ladies joining in with this event’ says Clare-Louise Whiley, Volunteer Organiser.

Shopping, lunch and the final will be held at Government House by kind permission of his Excellency The Lieutenant Governor and Lady Dalton.

A fabulous selection of stalls will be open from 11:00. All purchases aid Jersey Hospice Care as
stall holders donate a % of their takings.
‘We are so grateful to all the ladies who take part in this event and contribute to our work’ says Sylvia Gould, Relationship & Events Coordinator, Jersey Hospice Care.

A delicious lunch will be served in a marquee in the grounds of Government House 12:30, prior to the final at 2:00pm on the beautifully refurbished court just behind the lunch marquee.

All festivities will be finished by 3:00.

Lunch and shopping only: £35 per head/ £350 for a table of 10, including a bottle of Champagne Lunch and Tennis: £45 per head

There will be a selection of fabulous raffle prizes, so please bring raffle ticket money on the day.

‘Please extend this invitation to any ladies who may be interested in being involved. Many ladies come along and support us by enjoying lunch, catching up with friends and doing a little shopping. You do not need to be a tennis player – I’m not!’, explains Sandy Moretta, Volunteer Organiser.
