The Best Western Royal Hotel, David Place, St Helier, Jersey has been awarded 3 AA Silver Stars after a recent unannounced inspection.

The award is given only to highly recommended hotels that offer a superior level of quality within their star rating, high standards of hospitality, service and cleanliness; and hold an AA Rosette award for the quality of their food. Nationwide benchmarking is also taken into consideration.

The Best Western Royal Hotel, which previously held 3 AA Black Stars, and has an AA Dining Rosette, is now the only 3-star Highly Recommended Silver Star hotel in the Channel Islands selected from among the thousands of hotels that the AA inspects in the UK.

Best Western Royal Hotel Head of Sales and Marketing, Andre Thorpe, added: “We are delighted that the our hotel has been further endorsed by the AA. The entire team has worked very hard and it is wonderful to receive this industry recognition from such a respected organization.”

The Best Western Royal Hotel is an 89-bedroom hotel located close to the centre of St Helier, Jersey. Dating from the 1840’s the Best Western Royal still trades as a hotel to this day and has been much enhanced with continued investment and development and holds a Gold standard Investor in People, the only such award on the island.

Jersey is being recognized as a culinary destination in it’s own right centered around quality local ingredients and this is acknowledged at the Best Western Royal with the AA Rosette ‘Seasons’ restaurant offering a seasonally adjusted menu to take advantage of local produce at its peak.

The Best Western Royal Hotel has been owned by the locally owned Morvan Hotel Group since 2006.
