Carey Olsen's property group has advised Jersey Hockey Limited on its new 25-year lease of the astro-turf hockey pitch and surrounding area at Les Quennevais Sports Centre.
Securing the long lease means Jersey Hockey can now proceed with the approved plans to construct a new clubhouse and hockey centre at the site in St Brelade.
The Carey Olsen team advising Jersey Hockey was led by partner Christopher Philpott.
"We are delighted to have been involved with this important transaction, which will have huge long-term benefits for the sport of hockey in Jersey. Jersey Hockey has more than 500 members and securing the sport's long-term future at Les Quennevais means it can now provide them with the new hockey centre they deserve," said Mr Philpott.
Jersey Hockey president Paul Masterton said: "This is an important milestone in the continued development and promotion of hockey in Jersey. The Jersey hockey community can now look forward to an exciting future and we're delighted to be able to commence the development of our new hockey centre over the coming weeks and months."
