The Powerhouse has teamed up with The Grace Trust Jersey to donate money throughout the month of December.
The Grace Trust was founded in 1999 and works with vulnerable islanders. Their community work has helped countless families and individuals since they started supporting the island 23 years ago. Their honest, inclusive and friendly approach to caring for the community was of great interest to the Powerhouse team and they were eager to support such a worthwhile cause.
Gavin Murphy, Head of Retail at the Powerhouse said, “it’s an honour to support this charity and be part of providing help, advice and support to members of our community. We know how important it is to look after the vulnerable and we’re pleased to be able to contribute towards this care.”
Throughout December, the Powerhouse are donating £15 for every oven or cooker that is sold. The Grace Trust also operate a food bank which has seen a significant increase in the number of people asking for help compared to previous years.
