Philip Le Claire has been appointed as Project Manager: Residential and Centre Development. This is a new and exciting position which has been developed to help drive the development of services provided by Autism Jersey.
While working in the construction industry, Philip was appointed branch officer for the National Autistic Society, before Autism Jersey was created in 2005.
Coincidentally, he wrote the charity’s constitution in the same building that the charity is now housed in – his old office is now Autism Jersey’s storeroom.
Philip says that he is delighted to be back after being away for eight years.
‘I’m really excited to come back and see how many dreams that we had ten years ago which have been achieved – and excited to know there is room for more,’ he said. ‘I am looking forward to building on the foundations and continue to make Autism Jersey the leaders in what we do.’
Chairman Nick Winsor said: ‘Our vision is to have a Centre for Autism and a range of residential accommodation which caters to the needs of people on the autism spectrum. I am very pleased to welcome Philip back to Autism Jersey to help make this become a reality.’
