Hawksford can now provide trust services in Singapore, having secured a trust licence.
The licence, issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), enables the international corporate, private client and fund administration services specialist to provide trust services to private and corporate clients seeking high quality, regulated trust services in one of Asia’s premier financial centres.
‘This is a significant development for Hawksford and our global client base. The licence greatly enhances our client service capabilities and now also enables us to offer first class trust and fiduciary services in Asia,’ said group CEO Michel van Leeuwen.
‘Obtaining the Singapore trust licence is an integral part of our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to providing our clients with a full service offering for both their business and private wealth needs. Generations of clients take confidence in our technical expertise and personalised approach. We are pleased to now offer even more flexibility for existing and new clients who are looking for high quality international wealth services and solutions.’
Hawksford employs more than 70 team members across Asia, delivering corporate services to businesses and now looks forward to growing its trust and fiduciary offering in the region.
‘Our heritage in providing trust and fiduciary services stretches 60 years and makes us one of the most trusted names in the global private wealth administration industry. We look forward to utilising that experience and expertise across Asia,’ added Mr van Leeuwen.
Michael Powell will join the board of the Singapore trust business. Mr Powell is a Hawksford founding director and qualified trust practitioner. Over the last 25 years, Mr Powell has established himself as an industry-recognised expert in the provision of fiduciary services, working closely with international clients, families and their advisers.
