Logicalis CI have launched a new cyber-security management service to help companies identify attacks and to put a response plan in place.

Logicalis Managed Security Commercial Director - Richard Gaudin said that the new Security Incident Response Management Service (SIRM) meant that in the event of a security breach customers would have access to a 24-hour priority service desk.

“The greatest benefit of this service is that clients have the comfort of knowing that in the event of an attack they will have the immediate attention of a team of security experts who will put in place an effective incident response plan and avoid knee-jerk measures which might make the situation even worse,” he said.

Richard said that as well as instant access to experts, the service included a recovery plan and a post-incident review to strengthen the company’s future security. The SIRM joins a suite of service packages offered by Logicalis to minimize both the risk and impact of a cyber security incident.

The SIRM was launched at Logicalis CI’s cyber security conference held earlier this month in Jersey which was attended by over 100 business people who heard from experts from across the industry. The speakers all provided an insight into the ways that companies could defend themselves, detect breaches and develop plans which will restore business as usual as quickly as possible.

Technology plays a big part but educating staff and ensuring that employees understand basic security steps were the key priorities identified for over 100 business professionals who attended the Logicalis CI cyber security event on 20 March. They also provided recent information and statistics on the scale of the security risk and the ways in which businesses can provide training to change employee behaviour to greatly improve data security.
