The Retail Team at Jersey Hospice Care have been delighted by the enthusiasm received from Islanders about the launch of Hospice’s newest initiative, Dress4Less. Dress4Less is exclusively available now at the Hospice fundraising shop on Union Street in town and offers good quality clothing for men, women and children, as well as shoes and accessories, all priced at £4 or less.

Dress4Less emerged as the Hospice Retail Team wanted to offer Islanders an option to support Hospice through buying affordable items where not only is everything a great price, but really good quality too. Through Dress4Less, shoppers can make their money go further, find some really good bargains, and even buy a whole outfit for less than £12. Since re-opening in February many of Hospice’s regular supporters and new customers have enjoyed the bargains on offer in the newly refurbished town shop.

Senior Shop Manager, Julie Jubb, said: “Every item at just £4 or less was a welcome treat for our regular customers coming back through our doors, and every day we have new people coming in who comment on how impressed they are with the quality and variety of clothing available. We are very grateful for the wide range of donations we continue to receive. With Dress4Less we are able to offer great quality clothing and accessories at bargain prices.”

Support from Islanders through the Jersey Hospice Care fundraising shops plays a significant role in helping to fund the charity’s specialist palliative care services. The shops raise approximately £20,000 each week which is enough to fund the cost of delivering all Hospice services – at Hospice, in the community, and in the hospital, for a whole day. This means that every volunteer hour, donation or purchase made - whether it’s £50 for an arm chair from the shop in St Ouen or £4 at the Dress4Less shop in town - directly supports patients and ensures that the care they receive is always free of charge.

Director of Operations, Yannick Fillieul, said: “We are always looking for ways to innovate and further engage with our amazing community of supporters; such as the pop-up shop “Pre-loved to Re-loved” at our shop in St Ouen and now Dress4Less at our shop in town. Every donation we receive, every purchase which is made, directly supports the patients we care for so each one of them can live life to the full.”

Dress4Less, where everything is £4 or less, is currently based at the Hospice fundraising shop in town on Union Street and open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
