Jersey, CI: Islands Foundation, the foundation formed from Islands Lotto, announced today that they have donated £1,500 to the Jersey Basketball Association (JBBA) and a further £1,500 to the Art in the Frame Foundation. JBBA will use this money to promote and encourage the sport of basketball in Jersey, particularly aimed at prospective female players. In addition to this, the donation to Art in the Frame has enabled an exhibition for Jersey artists looking to progress in the island’s arts industry.

Richard Harwood, Islands Foundation Director, said: “We are delighted to be involved with these two fantastic causes, and we hope that this is just the start of a prosperous relationship with them”. Islands Foundation has raised over £30,000 since its formation in 2016 and is looking to receive applications for seed funding from any good causes in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. Good causes can be individuals, associations or charities from any walk of life, with the aim to directly impact people in the community.
