The Jersey Softball Association Indoor league has drawn to a close with Jacksons Falcons crowned the champions for the season, taking a decisive victory in their final game against runners up Royals.

It was the most successful season to date for Jacksons with the Group’s sponsored sister teams Phoenix and Motor Mall Eagles finishing in 3rd and 4th place after the match on Sunday 23rd April.

Falcons Team Captain Robin Tadier commented, “It’s a real testament to the hard work of all of the players this season to have all three teams finishing in the top four. We are extremely fortunate to have had the backing of a sponsor that really understands and supports our training and development aspirations. Our players have access to kit when they are first starting out, and with the sponsorship offsetting player costs, we have been able to continue to attract and retain player numbers over the last few years.”

With the Indoor season coming to a close, the teams are now gearing up for the start of the JSA Summer season on 14th May.

Robin added, “The Summer season will be another tough battle. The field dimensions are very different when we got back outdoors, so there is plenty of work to do to re-set ready for the opening games.”

Jersey Softball Summer seasons gets underway on Sunday 14th May at Les Quennevais sports grounds with games between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
