With just over a week to go until the Island plays host to one of the largest and most colourful events of the summer, Jersey Airport is once again preparing its own floral welcome for arriving passengers as part of the Battle of Flowers celebrations.
This coming Saturday 06 August a number of arriving passengers, many of who are holidaying in the Island specifically to attend the floral event will be personally greeted in the airport terminal by Miss Jersey Battle
of Flowers 2016, Aimee Le Brun accompanied by her Consort, Rebecca Amy, Miss Junior Battle of Flowers,
Lucy-Anne Richford and Battle Bee who will all be handing out leis and flowers to
passengers as part of the official launch of Battle Week celebrations.
Group Marketing & Communications Manager for Ports of Jersey, Alan Donald, said: “This floral greeting has become something of a tradition at the airport and we are delighted to be once again lending our support to this leading community event. Many arriving passengers are holidaying in the Island specifically for the Battle Parades so this special welcome by Miss Battle of Flowers herself adds that extra personal touch. We are expecting a busy weekend in terms of arriving passengers and we know that many of them appreciate the warm floral welcome they receive, which is why we continue to do it”.
Miss Jersey Battle of Flowers is due to be in the Arrivals Terminal at Jersey Airport on Saturday 06 August between approximately 10am and 2pm.
