Jersey Hospice Care is pleased to announce that tickets for their biggest fundraiser of the year go on sale on Monday 14 May.
The Million Pound Lottery tickets will be available across the Island, including for the second year running, in store at de Gruchy. Once again, de Gruchy has very generously sponsored an early bird prize draw, giving away an in-store gift card worth £1,000 to one lucky person who purchases their Million Pound Lottery ticket before Friday 29 June.
Jersey Hospice Care’s Chairman, Julie Coward, said, ‘It’s wonderful to be able to offer everyone in the local community a chance to win a life changing amount of money. Remember to buy your tickets early! Last year, they sold out in just six weeks.
‘This year, in support of the extension of our services to children and young people and their families, we hope to sell 7,000 tickets. Our thanks go to de Gruchy and NatWest for hosting us this year and to all the volunteers who help sell tickets and donate their time to this event.’
John Marquis, Store Director of de Gruchy said, ‘de Gruchy is delighted to be supporting Jersey Hospice Care again this year. It’s a great privilege to be able to facilitate the sales of tickets for the Million Pound Lottery and sponsor the Early Bird prize draw.’
A total of £1,300,000 will be given away in prize money, with £1 million as the first prize, followed by prizes of £100,000, £75,000, £50,000, £25,000 and five prizes of £10,000 to lucky ticket holders.
The tickets are £300 each and will be available from de Gruchy, King Street, St Helier (Monday to Saturday between 10.00 and 16.00) and NatWest, Les Quennevais, St Brelade (weekdays from 15 - 26 May only, from 10.00 to 15.30). Islanders will also be able to buy them from the Reception at Jersey Hospice Care (Monday to Friday between 08.00 and 20.00). Payment for tickets can be made by cash, cheque and debit card (with the exception of NatWest, St Brelade, which is cash or cheque only) and purchasers must be aged over 18 years old.
