In 2012, islanders saw their posties in a very new light! Over the coming year, thanks to the brave and generous team at Jersey Post, there will be another chance to see your postie baring (nearly) all for charity.

All of the ‘models’ have volunteered for their roles and the project has been kept under wraps until now, even though the postal workers haven’t! Jason Le Boutillier, who features in months November and December, says ‘The calendar is great fun to be involved with and it will help raise awareness and funds for a really worthwhile cause.’

Headway needs to find £250,000 per year to be able to offer the range of care and services to its patients and their families. The majority has to be found through fundraising events and donations, and the calendar will help raise vital funds towards this total.

Ray Cooper, CEO at Headway Jersey said ‘We could never have imagined that last year’s calendar would be so successful, and we are extremely grateful to everyone involved for agreeing to repeat the exercise again this year. Most of all thanks must go to Jersey Post for their continued support, and especially to all the posties that bravely took up the challenge to appear as nature intended. All proceeds raised from the sale of the calendars will stay in Jersey to benefit our members.’

Jersey Post Director of Operations Andy Jehan said: ‘In the last 18 months Jersey Post has raised more than £15,300 for Headway. We have been delighted to support Headway over the last year. Our association with the charity has been beneficial to both organisations and the 2014 Calendar is our way of demonstrating that in a very visual way. I want to say thank you to those staff who agreed to bare (nearly) all for the calendar.’

Calendars will go on sale from 29 November and will be available from Postal Headquarters at Rue des Pres and at Broad Street Post Offices and the Headway shop on New Street.
