Barclays Wealth and Investment Management has promoted 12 employees across its Guernsey and Jersey operations in its 2014 promotions round.
The promotions are effective across all levels of the organisation and feature a number of different business divisions including two promotions to director, two to vice president and seven promotions to assistant vice president.
Simon Phillips and Jenny Clayton, who are based in Jersey, have been promoted to directors as part of this year’s promotions round.
Mr Phillips was appointed as Head of Captive Insurance in Barclays’ Wealth and Investment Management division in 2012 to develop the captive insurance proposition. His role includes working with Barclays multi-jurisdictional team, which provides banking, credit, investment and trust solutions across the key global captive insurance jurisdictions in Europe, Bermuda and Caribbean and US onshore.
Ms. Clayton leads the Compliance teams which operate in Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey and specialises in regulatory compliance across all areas of the business. Ms. Clayton is also a committee member of the Barclays Jersey Women’s Initiative Network helping to promote the development and key progression of talented individuals within the business.
Also in Jersey, David Bryon has been promoted to Vice President, Peter Roux and Mark Copp have been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Sharron Marshall has been promoted to a BA4 level in the infrastructure team. Helen Vieira, Katrina Tannahill and Davog McGlinchey have been promoted to Assistant Vice Presidents in the Global Investments and Solutions team.
In Guernsey, Tertia Smit has been promoted to Vice President and Sarah Jehan and Irene Long have been promoted to Assistant Vice Presidents in the Global Investments and Solutions team.
