Walkovers Cricket Club are delighted to be able to confirm Ross-Gower Associates (RGA) as the new title sponsors on a multi-year deal.

RGA Walkovers were founded back in 2000 and have played at the top level of Jersey Cricket ever since, providing the island with multiple international cricketers in the process. RGA Walkovers have managed to align domestic success with their values, which are to ensure the club provides opportunities and a platform for members of all abilities to play cricket at a suitable level.

RGA Walkovers Cricket Club are also proud to have become the first cricket club in Jersey to tie up with their chosen charity, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust by wearing a charitable logo on their shirt sleeves. The late Kevin English, one of the founding members of the club, suffered with Cystic Fibrosis and was supported by the Trust in receiving treatment. RGA Walkovers will be raising further awareness of Cystic Fibrosis by having logos on the sleeves and also during fundraising events throughout the summer.

Rob Stewart, Director at Ross-Gower Associates explained “We are a local firm of Consulting Engineers who have been trading in Jersey for 38 years and we fully appreciate the importance of sport within the community. We are therefore proud to be announced as the new title sponsor for the Walkovers Cricket Club and we look forward to supporting the club in achieving both their sporting and wider community aims over the coming years. Whilst we have sponsored many individual sports events over the years, this is the first time we have taken a multi-year title sponsorship arrangement. We are also proud to endorse Walkovers’ longstanding support of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which is a charity very close to their hearts. The team here at RGA wishes the players all the best for what promises to be an exciting season of cricket ahead. ”

RGA Walkovers President Hansie Vosser added “We are very pleased that Ross-Gower Associates have agreed to sponsor our club over the next few years. It is vital to find a common understanding with sponsors and ensure this works for all involved. It was clear from the outset that RGA were aligned to what the club are trying to achieve, especially with regards growing our youth development programme. The tie in with the Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a natural fit for the club and believe the shirt sleeved logo will help raise awareness of the charity.”

Serena Wilson, Community Development and Fundraising Manager at the Cystic Fibrosis Trust also noted “We are thrilled that RGA Walkovers Cricket Club are supporting the Trust in this way. We’re always so touched when our supporters fundraise in memory of a loved one, and this certainly sounds like a fitting tribute to their friend Kevin. I’m very much looking forward to supporting the club with their activities throughout the year”

RGA Walkovers would like to thank Ross-Gower Associates for their sponsorship and look forward to supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Trust throughout the upcoming season.
