The Shelter Trust has recently launched its new website bringing to conclusion a project that has taken nearly two years to complete.
The website project started before the Covid-19 pandemic and has been delivered by Webreality as a charitable donation of time and expertise.
Webreality Director Mark Evans said, “The Shelter Trust do an amazing job in Jersey helping to support islanders in adversity who are either experiencing, or in imminent threat of homelessness. It has been our pleasure to donate our time to produce a new website that does justice to their crucial work”.
The websiteis a culmination of effort from employees, Trustees of The Shelter Trust and the Webreality team. It provides the charity with a ‘voice’ and platform to engage with interested parties,has been translated into French, Portuguese and Polish making it easier to navigate and be understood by a wider audience, and includes a ‘Donate’ button on the homepage making the process of donating more accessible.
Director of The Shelter Trust John Hodge said, “Massive thanks are due to Webreality for their work on our project. So often our time is consumed by the everyday pressures of finding beds for our service users that we don’t find the time necessary to address our basic communications needs. Our new website gives us back our public voice. When Webreality approached us with the offer to build our website it was much appreciated, as this is something we had wanted to do for a long time, and yet hadnotbeen able to find the time or resource to put towards it. The team at Webreality have done a great job”.
