“Success based on teamwork” will be the focus of a forthcoming business seminar organised by Moore Stephens and Close Finance.

“Success based on teamwork” will be the focus of a forthcoming business seminar organised by Moore Stephens and Close Finance.

The breakfast networking event will be held at CCA Galleries International on Thursday 7 November and will feature head coach and director of Jersey Rugby, Ben Harvey as guest speaker.

Mr Harvey, who currently coaches the RFU Championship side Jersey, played for the England national rugby sevens team and has been coaching since 2004. His current objective is to work with his team to reach the Premiership by 2018.

Jo Gavey, associate in the Accounting and Business Services department at Moore Stephens Jersey, said: “Working as a team is vital in any business and I feel certain that we can gain some real insight for local businesses through hearing about how it is encouraged in the sporting arena. We had some really positive feedback from the last breakfast briefing that we held earlier this year and we were delighted with how it went. We hope that this event will be just as successful.”

This is the second event in the networking series and is expected to attract over 150 attendees across many different segments of the local business community. The briefings provide local business people and professionals with the opportunity to share ideas on how to operate effectively in the current difficult trading conditions and more importantly, to develop new contacts.

Philip Legrand, Close Finance business development manager, said: “After the success of the last breakfast briefing, we are delighted to be able to welcome another notable speaker to the event and we are certain that Ben will inspire attendees with his thoughts on the importance of working as a team and how this has helped Jersey Rugby in its recent successes.”

The Breakfast Briefing will take place from 7.45-9.00 am. Tickets cost £20 with 20% of the ticket proceeds going to Family Nursing and Home Care, Jersey, to raise funds for a children’s centre at Samares.
