C5 Alliance Group has appointed Mark Cooke and Vincent Le Gallez to senior positions in its management team, following its acquisition of Itex earlier this year.

C5 Alliance Group has appointed Mark Cooke and Vincent Le Gallez to senior positions in its management team, following its acquisition of Itex earlier this year.

Mr Cooke has been hired as Head of Managed Services and Operations while Mr Le Gallez has been appointed Head of Sales and Procurement. Both will work closely with the managing director of C5 Alliance Group, Marc Lainé.

Prior to joining C5 Alliance Group, Mr Cooke worked for a number of years in the public sector, holding board level positions such as Chief Executive of NHS Dudley and, most recently, Chief Officer of Guernsey’s Health and Social Services Department.

As a chartered accountant he has also held a number of finance director posts, which included responsibility for IT, performance management, business intelligence and project management.

During his career he has spearheaded a number of successful major project implementations, both capital and operational, and has significant experience in business solutions, business redesign and strategic development for large, complex organisations.

Mr Le Gallez has worked in a number of senior positions across the technology and finance sectors, primarily in business development and sales. Among these are Head of Sales and Marketing at JCS (Financial Planning and Administration Software); Head of Investor Services at HSBC Securities; and Account Manager at Itex for six years.

He is highly experienced in managing client relationships and well-versed in developing and implementing growth opportunities. In all of his former roles, Mr Le Gallez was focused on managing people internally and increasing business efficiency.

Managing director of C5 Alliance, Marc Lainé, said the appointments were an ideal complement to the changes brought on by the acquisition.

“C5 Alliance Group now has access to more resources, more facilities and more expertise than ever and our management structure needed to reflect these developments.

“Both Mark and Vincent have immensely relevant experience. Mark’s track record of successfully managing and delivering major projects, as well as his accountancy background, will be of real value to C5’s managed services department while Vincent’s knack for identifying opportunities, working with clients and maximising efficiency internally will prove hugely beneficial as the C5 Alliance Group continues to develop,” he said.

“Both will now focus their efforts on re-organising and developing the managed and professional services teams to maximise efficiency across the board for both clients and staff.”

C5 Alliance Group has more than 170 employees across its IT services and business solutions divisions and Group is the only locally-owned, full service technology solutions company in the Channel Islands.
