Bedell Cristin has appointed Lee Osborne as a Senior Associate in its Guernsey office.

Lee advises on a broad range of corporate, commercial and banking matters including investment funds and private equity, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, cross border transactions and corporate re-structuring.

A member of the BVI Bar Association, Lee qualified originally as an English lawyer and spent time working at Shoosmiths in London, before moving to the BVI in 2008. In addition to advising on Guernsey law, Lee also practises BVI law and has previously advised on Cayman Islands law with specific emphasis on open-ended investment funds and closed-ended private equity structures. Having worked for large offshore law firm groups in both the BVI and Singapore, he appears frequently on expert panels at conferences, most recently in Geneva where he discussed BVI and Cayman investment structures and how they are used.

Managing Partner of the Guernsey firm, Kate Ovenden, welcomed Lee to the Guernsey practice and commented:

“Bedell Cristin offers a complete solution in matters requiring Guernsey, Jersey and BVI legal advice. Lee’s experience in corporate, banking and investment funds adds further to the depth of expertise we can offer our clients.”

Earlier this year, the firm was awarded the Offshore Client Services Award at the prestigious Chambers Europe Awards, and in the Chambers Directory 2017, the Guernsey office was described as ‘very responsive’ and ‘proactive in solving problems.’
