Local fishmongers, Seafresh, winners of the overall prize at this year’s Livingroom Customer Service Awards, are enjoying continued praise from customers regarding their summer success.
Proprietor, Andy Le Prevost can’t quite believe it.
‘What an incredible experience the awards have been for us here – the compliments just keep coming – the public awareness of this entire award process is, to say the least, amazing.
‘I have been stopped many, many times by members of the public – many of whom I have never met before - who have been full of praise for the organisers of this event to take customer service to higher levels – they must be so deservedly proud, and my thanks go to them.’
The general public was able to nominate any individual or team on the island who, in their opinion, gave excellent customer service. The votes were cast over a six-week period and, from over 5,000 entries, 10 category winners were chosen. Winners ranged from self-employed dance teacher, Debbie Duport, to the team at Lloyds bank, and included a kiosk, a hotel event manager, a GSPCA volunteer and a St Peter Port police officer.
The last word has to go to Andy.
‘I am so proud of my Team here – only Saturday morning I overheard a customer saying on their way out – ‘No wonder they won the Customer Service Awards’ – that, to me, meant so, so much.’
