Moss Bros, the UK’s leading formal menswear specialist selling men’s suits, shirts, coats, formal/casual jackets, shoes and accessories opens in Smith Street today (Friday 3rd). The luxury retailer, founded in 1851 and best known for its hire service, is being brought to Guernsey by the Channel Islands’ largest retailer, SandpiperCI.
Sandpiper CEO Tony O’Neill commented: “We are delighted to bring this well-established, quality and value menswear business to St Peter Port. The Moss Bros brand has been recognised for its fine suits, clothing and men’s accessories for well over a century. The Smith Street store is newly refurbished to a high standard and we’re looking forward to offering Guernsey’s men, respected international fashion brands right on their doorstep.”
Moss Bros is also the UK’s menswear hire specialists. The brand’s expert guidance and flexible service offer unique facilities to visiting wedding or partygoers wishing to hire Moss Bros products for a Guernsey event. Customers can order in the UK and pick up the items in Guernsey, reducing luggage and avoiding their clothing creasing during transit.
Similarly, for local guests attending events in the UK, customers can be fitted for Moss Hire orders in Guernsey and collect and/or return at stores closer to the event in the UK.
The Smith Street Moss Bros store opens on Friday morning at 09:00am. The new franchise has created three new retail roles and the store will open Monday to Saturday from 09:30 to 5:30.
