The staff of Nedbank Private Wealth and Nedgroup Trust (Nedbank Private Wealth’s trust division in Guernsey and Jersey), have been busy raising money for five staff-nominated charities.

Through a wide range of fundraising activities, including themed social events, recycling clothes, raffles, cake sales and dress-down days, an impressive total of £8,702.04 has been raised over the course of a year. Sharon Connor, the chair of the charity committee at Nedbank Private Wealth and Nedgroup Trust said “it has been another tough year and charities continue to feel the pinch so it made it even more special that we topped last year’s figure by over £400.” The money has been split equally between the five chosen charities for 2013 / 2014: Jersey Aquatic Discovery, Male Uprising in Guernsey (MUG), Special Olympics Isle of Man, Manx De-Caf and Save the Children.

While the first four charities do an outstanding job of supporting the local communities in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man, the latter charity is recognised worldwide for its campaigns promoting children's rights, providing relief and helping to support children in developing countries.

Sam Kemp and Alex Jeffries from Nedbank Private Wealth, presented Jersey Aquatic Discovery with the cheque on behalf of all the staff.
