Fav rate of growth has led to the internal promotion of Andrew Courtney to the newly created group chief operating officer role.

‘Andrew is ideally suited to this role as he not only has four decades of industry experience, he also has a great understanding of what our clients want and how best to deliver this. He is passionate about encouraging a culture that allows our staff to develop and realise their ambitions while being mindful of the strategy set by the Board,’ said group managing director Mark Bousfield.

‘It’s an exciting time for the company and I look forward to working closely with Andrew as Ravenscroft takes its next steps

Educated at Elizabeth College, Mr Courtney, who has a Master of Business Administration degree and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, has more than 40 years’ experience of working in banking, stockbroking and investment management in Guernsey and London.

‘Ravenscroft is unlike any company I have worked for. It is an entrepreneurial company with a family-like culture that encompasses both clients and staff. It is great to work with people driven by such passion for delivering an excellent service to clients,’ he said.

‘The challenge now is to continue to grow the business without losing that personal culture. Looking forward, we would like to grow our business beyond the confines of the Channel Islands, as evidenced by our recent launch of our Huntress fund range into the UK.’

He added that Ravenscroft would also move into new headquarters next year and he would be overseeing the renovation of the new offices and the relocation of its 60-strong Guernsey team.

‘Our new headquarters will make a statement and reinforce the message that we are proud of our local heritage and our local client base and we are determined never to lose sight of that. It is my responsibility to deliver on that,’ said Mr Courtney.
