Company growth at Robus and Hexagon PCC has led to the appointment of two new directors.

Jamie Polson is the client lead on a portfolio of insurance companies managed by Robus, with ultimate responsibility for his clients complying with all legal, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance requirements. Ben Dunning has joined Hexagon PCC, owned by Robus, as group accountant and director.

"The appointments of Jamie and Ben reflect the growth Robus has seen in recent years. It’s important that we have the right people to lead the company forward and I believe that these two men can do that. Between them they have 30 years’ experience in the captive insurance industry and are welcome additions to the board," said Chris Le Conte, Robus Group managing director.

Mr Polson, who completed his A-levels at The Grammar School, joined Robus in 2014 and has been appointed to the board from within. Previously he spent 13 years at Aon Insurance Managers (Guernsey) Ltd and has worked at Coutts and the States of Guernsey Engineering Department. While his background has been focused on financial accounting, Mr Polson has also built up a wealth of experience in the regulatory, compliance and company secretarial requirements of managing captives and of managing client relationships.

‘I’m looking forward to the challenge of working with new clients and helping to expand our client base whilst building up a strong knowledge of our existing clients. Robus is an innovative and fast-paced company and I felt the chance to join a smaller, independent team would provide a fresh challenge,’ said Mr Polson (40) who is married with two children.

Mr Dunning, who attended Elizabeth College, has joined Hexagon PCC from Aon Insurance Managers (Guernsey), where he worked for 16 years.
In his new role he will be responsible for reviewing accounts, auditing and ensuring that management agreement and regulatory/ legal requirements are met.

"Over the last 16 years I have gone from administrator to senior manager and I want to be able to use the experience I have to help Hexagon PCC continue to grow and succeed. It’s a relatively new and dynamic independent management firm and I am very much looking forward to the challenge," said Mr Dunning (37) who is married with two young boys.

Mr Polson, who has a foundation degree in maths and chemistry, takes part in a range of sports, including football, golf and pool. Mr Dunning, a qualified accountant, holds a BTEC national diploma in business and finance. Both men enjoy spending time with their young families.

Earlier this year Hexagon PCC was been named Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) Service Provider of the Year at the UK Captive Service Awards.
Robus Group won PCC Initiative for 2015 based on one of its structuring solutions.
