Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries has been shortlisted for a number of awards in the Citywealth 2017 Power Women awards.

The firm has been shortlisted for ‘Company of the year: Female Leadership (Professional Services’) and director Lisa Vizia for ‘Woman of the year: Business Growth (Professional Services)’ and ‘Woman of the Year: Leadership (Professional Services, IFC)’.

The firm has received bronze awards in the ‘Company of the year: Female Leadership (Professional Services)’ category for two years running. This will also be the third year in a row that Miss Vizia has been shortlisted for the ‘Woman of the year: Business Growth (Professional Services)’ award.

The awards were established in 2014 by the editor and founder of international publication house Citywealth, Karen Jones, with the objective of championing women in the wealth sector and highlighting female leaders across all international financial centres (IFCs).

The awards are judged by an international panel of highly respected practitioners from all sectors with experience of working with advisors in all the jurisdictions covered.

Saffery Champness has been in Guernsey for 40 years and employs more than 125 people across its trust, funds, tax and accountancy businesses, with its fiduciary team specialising in the provision of services to an international client base.

Managing director of Saffery Champness in Guernsey, Nick Batiste, said: “As a firm that prides itself on its meritocratic culture with a strong focus on career progression and success it is great to have been shortlisted again for awards that recognise the quality of our people.”

This year has seen Saffery Champness win the ‘Trust Company of the Year - Institutional’ category at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2016, the ‘Independent Trust Company’ category at the Wealthbriefing European Awards and a silver award in the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activity of the Year’ category at the Citywealth Brand Management and Reputation awards.

The firm has also been shortlisted in the ‘Guernsey Trust Company of the Year’ category of the Citywealth IFC Awards 2017 and in the ‘Trust Company of the Year’ category of the 2016/17 STEP Private Client Awards.
