SPF Private Clients is pleased to announce an agreement with Barclays that will enable SPF to offer its clients a Barclays mortgage without the need for them to meet with the bank. This is a new development in the lending market aimed at further streamlining the mortgage process and making the process of obtaining a mortgage even more accessible for islanders.

Pierre Blampied, Managing Director of SPF Private Clients says of the move: “The fact that SPF has been selected reinforces our market-leading offering and highlights the relationships we have with all the key lenders in the Guernsey market. We were delighted to be approached based on our experience as longest running mortgage broker in Guernsey. We also believe that being part of the largest independent broker in the UK, dealing with over 100 different lenders on an annual basis, makes us the ideal mortgage broker to lead the initiative."

Simon Phillips Guernsey Country Manager, Barclays, “Using our insight into life here in Guernsey, we’ve designed a range of competitive mortgages to help islanders ‘own a piece of the island they love’.  SPF Private Clients will have direct access to our mortgage products via a secure application submission portal. Prospective Guernsey mortgage borrowers will benefit from  an alternative way to access Barclays mortgage products through this important mortgage broker network.

Pierre ends: "Much as this can be seen as a coup for SPF Private Clients, of course the really good news is that prospective homeowners will have an easier route to purchasing their properties, which can only help the market as a whole.”
