STEP lecture series returns thanks to Mourant Ozannes' sponsorship
The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Guernsey 2017/18 lecture series relaunches this week thanks to the support of leading offshore law firm, Mourant Ozannes, who have sponsored the series for three years running.

The STEP Guernsey 2017/18 lecture series are business specific presentations that help Guernsey based practitioners take a global perspective. They are designed for members and non-members to enhance knowledge and understanding of the Trust and Estate practice as well as keeping people updated with industry related hot topics.

The first lecture in the new series, which takes place on Monday 11 September will see key speakers Alan Bougourd from the Guernsey Registry and Fiona Crocker from the GFSC examine the new beneficial ownership register and share their experiences to date. The second lecture on Wednesday 13 September will be presented by key speaker Edward Thomas, business development at Oxfam, where he will be looking into the advisory sector in relation to 'Philanthropy: an evolving relationship'.

Partner at Mourant Ozannes and member of the STEP Guernsey branch committee, Matthew Guthrie, said: "Our International Trusts and Private Client practice is proud to support the STEP 2017/18 lecture series for the third year running. It's important that we continue to support these highly regarded events and speakers in Guernsey so that our fiduciary community stays knowledgeable of current trends and practices."

Chair of STEP Guernsey, Adèle Perrot, said: “We are delighted that Mourant Ozannes have renewed their sponsorship for the 2017/18 season and are grateful for their continued support. We very much look forward to working with them again.”
