(JTfL) and RUBiS (Fuel Supplies CI) are delighted to announce the return of the successful ‘Trees We Love’ photographic competition for its second year. Entrants are invited to enter up to five images of any tree or trees which have been photographed in the Channel Islands.

  • One adult (18 and over) winner will be chosen from Guernsey and one from Jersey.
  • There will also be a winning junior (under 18) from each island and they will both receive a £200 Amazon voucher.
  • Winning images, and those of other entrants, will be used for the RUBiS 2017 calendar.
  • Entrants are asked to register at education@jerseytreesforlife.org in order to receive further details of the competition.
  • The closing date for the competition is 30th September 2016.

Each will win £500 credit to a RUBiS card account.

Chris Stonebridge, Chairman of GTFL, said: “Guernsey Trees for Life is delighted to be involved with the Trees We Love photo competition for the second year running. Encouraging people to get out there and photograph trees is a great way to remind us all about the importance of trees to our local environment. Plus you get the chance to win some valuable prizes!”

Nick Crolla, Head of Sales & Marketing, Rubis Channel Islands commented: “RUBiS takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously and is proud to support initiatives that reduce the impact of fossil fuel consumption in the Channel Islands. Guernsey Trees for Life and Jersey Trees for Life are two local charities whose work helps to remove CO2from the atmosphere. We have been delighted to work with the two charities to develop the Trees We Love competition and look forward to seeing our 2017 calendar take shape.”
