West Sealand International (WSI), Guernsey, has acquired its European partner Shield Risk Consulting (SRC), a global security consulting firm.

The acquisition of Shield Risk Consulting extends WSI’s security consulting portfolio and provides it with a European operating centre in Copenhagen, Denmark.

WSI director Mike Allen said that managing security risk is becoming more complex, effecting all aspects of commercial operation and personal activity.  As people become more mobile, as companies seek expansion into new geographic markets, either through acquisition or organic growth, risk profiles change.  SRC delivers insight to those who chose to embrace change, whilst effectively managing risk for their physical assets and teams.

‘Shield Risk Consulting delivers what our customers are demanding, proven experience, depth of knowledge and an ability to provide simple answers to complex situations,’ said Mr Allen.

Jesper Lundsgaard, CEO, Shield Risk Consulting said:

’The team at Shield is delighted to become a key part of the success of WSI, we see an excellent fit between Shield and WSI, that will truly benefit our clients.

‘Together, we will be able extend our ability to deliver a comprehensive 360 degree security solution to companies inside and outside of Europe, offering an ever wider set of integrated security solutions, to a diverse set of customers which Shield has served since 1998.’

Shield Risk Consulting is a trusted and respected brand and will be retained for European operations.
