2018 Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Conference – Is the future here?
JIBS Events is hosting its 2018 Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Conference in Jersey, on 20 September 2018. Welcoming a range of recognised industry experts to speak, including keynote speaker Laura Bailey, Spokesperson for the British Blockchain Association. Bailey is a leading entrepreneur in the field of Blockchain technology and a trailblazer for women in FinTech. She has co-founded three successful Blockchain ventures and is Chairperson of Qadre. She will be presenting on: ‘Opportunities, barriers and progress of Blockchain’

Delegates will also hear a keynote presentation delivered by Professor Wim Schoutens, Professor at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and founding partner of RiskConcile. Schoutens will be presenting on: ‘Risk-management, cryptocurrencies and block-chain solution: from crime prevention to trading and risk-managing cryptocurrencies’.

This JIBS Events one-day conference will explore Blockchain in financial services and the growth of cryptocurrencies with a view to answering key questions on how Blockchain might impact Jersey, how it might be beneficial and if and how these digital assets should be considered as an investment asset class.
