Air Traffic Safety Engineers
Engineering
Enquire
Full Description
If you’re looking for something
that offers variety, new experiences that expand your Communications,
Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) engineering skillset and makes your working
days more interesting and rewarding, we’ve got the perfect opportunity. We’re
looking for Air Traffic Safety Engineers to join our 15-strong systems and
technical services team.
There’s no surprise that our air
and maritime CNS electronics networks are both business and safety critical. Yet,
what might surprise you is the level of investment we’ve made in some awesome
leading-edge technological developments. Not only does that underpin and expand
our professional capabilities for today but, as an independent and ambitious
business, it signals our powerful sense of purpose and direction for the
future.
There are a lot of positive and
progressive things going on. In addition to investing in a state-of-the-art
marine operations centre and a £multimillion airport terminal redevelopment,
we’ve been an early adopter of forward-looking technologies including
electronic flight strips, ATC tower 3D training simulator and a remote tower
system that we’ll be driving vigorously. With our own procedures, a dedicated
Channel Islands regulator and certification from the European Union Aviation
Safety Agency (EASA), we operate to international standards. We also
autonomously manage the Channel Islands airspace controlling the safe, orderly
and expeditious movement of all commercial, private and military aircraft
entering, departing or overflying Jersey and the Channel Islands airspace.
In growing our team we’re looking
for experienced and hands-on CNS engineers who want more. That’s not only more
technical challenges but more opportunities to share ideas and champion
improvements, be involved with an array of projects and genuinely contribute to
and share in the success of the business.
With significant experience and
operating as an Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) with Level B
specialisms ideally (or Level A as a minimum) you’ll be fully conversant with
the management and implementation of planned and corrective maintenance
schedules and activities and commissioning and installing a diverse range of
electronics systems. Some of our systems may be slightly different to what
you’re used to, but you’ll develop the necessary wider knowledge and expertise
within a supportive team environment.
Calm and methodical with great
problem-solving talents and communication skills, you take individual ownership
and work with a real sense of purpose and team spirit. Your positive can-do
attitude shows through in all that you say and do and ensures you deliver great
results each time.
