Digital Jersey is the representative body for the digital sector in
Jersey. The
post holder will work with representatives from Industry, Government and Regulators,
to support the growth of digital businesses in Jersey.
The post holder will help
local firms navigate the start-up process and overcome common challenges. The
role will also require working with Government departments to collate
statistics and to research new business-friendly policy.
The right candidate will need to
demonstrate a keen interest and understanding of Jersey’s digital sector, and
where firms can work collectively to take advantage of opportunities. The post
holder should also be comfortable working as part of a small and flexible team.
Key
responsibilities:
Work closely
with digital businesses to support their applications on a range of issues such
as: business licensing, work licensing, or relocating to Jersey.
Work closely
with the Statistics Department in the States of Jersey, and other partners, to
publish detailed evidence about the digital
economy, in terms of employment, skills and economic contribution
Liaise with
other Government departments, to research new business-friendly policy
Maintain
accurate records of Digital Jersey’s activity to help track performance against
KPIs
Required to work
with external bodies to supply analysis and statistics on Jersey’s digital
sector
Support marketing teams with PR and other
content
Continually develop digital sector knowledge and
awareness of emerging industry trends
Skills
Required:
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced
environment
Excellent
written and oral communication skills – clear, accurate and concise
An academic or
professional background in areas such as: business analysis, economics,
stats
