The Corporate Portfolio Office Manager will report to the Head of the CPMO and holds accountability across all Government of Jersey functions, to help shape and deliver the strategic corporate portfolio management, for the One Government Ambition. They will provide focus in either the Governance and Reporting or Benefits and Financials areas.

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of specific projects in the corporate portfolio and maintains regular portfolio management standards for the governance of programmes and projects in the corporate portfolio to ensure consistency in approach across the organisation.
 

A key element of the role will be to oversee the development and maintenance of reporting to executive and political levels to support senior leaders and Ministers to view progress, enabling informed decisions to be made on the change portfolio, to support the delivery of the Common Strategic Policy (CSR) and Government Plan.
You will be accountable for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the portfolio's approach to risk management aligned to the Enterprise Risk Management Strategy to ensure a consistent approach to risks across the organisation and for the reporting of the portfolio's risk profile and mitigation strategies, reporting to the wider organisation as appropriate to identify any additional mitigations that could be implemented, reducing the organisations risk exposure

 The role holder will develop quality assurance processes and actively promote their embedding across the lines of business to maintain a structured approach to the continuous improvement of project and programme management standards, ensuring a consistent organisational approach
 You will maintain and shares up-to-date knowledge of project and programme management best practice and standards promoting continuous improvement bringing best practice into the organisation.

The successful candidate will provide SME expertise and guidance to the Head of CPMO on quality assurance requirements and communicates the areas of improvement required in the management of their programmes/ projects, ensuring adherence to organisational and best practice standards.

It would be beneficial that you are educated to degree level or demonstrate such a level of equivalent qualifications and experience. OR Holds or is working towards a recognised programme and/or project management qualification (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, AGILE, Lean, etc.)
