We are looking for a very special person who is qualified, experienced, motivated and passionate to join Caring Cooks to be the next Food and Nutrition Co-ordinator. This post will work with the Chief Executive of Caring Cooks and the current Food and Nutrition Co-ordinator, as well as the Head Teachers of Samares, Mont Nicolle and St Luke's School to continue to deliver the Let's Get Cooking Programme, to over 500 Key Stage 1 and 2 children. The Let’s Get Cooking Programme is a new and unprecedented programme in Jersey’s primary schools, which will give the Islands KS1 and 2 children, the opportunity to experience around 35 hours of food and nutrition education per school year. The programme will deliver the Food and Nutrition curriculum and aims to ensure primary school children go to secondary school with an understanding of basic nutrition and an armoury of essential life skills. Once children move into Key Stages 3 and 4, they become more independent on their food choices, and we hope the programme will inspire them to make those food choices, positive ones.
