Petroleum Distributors Jersey (PDJ) is looking to recruit a General Manager to lead the business across the Channel Islands.

PDJ is a long standing Jersey company that has been trading for over 50 years. It is a diverse business offering a one 'stop shop' for heating oil and other fuel related products. It also provides boiler maintenance services and carries out fuel related engineering projects. As well as ensuring it offers competitive prices, it prides itself on its excellent level of customer service.

The ideal candidate for this post will be customer focused and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and vision in being able to continue to take this long established business forward.

Role Purpose

The post holder will have responsibility for the planning, directing and controlling the Petroleum Distributors Jersey (PDJ) and Guernsey Petroleum Distributors (GPD) businesses across the Channel Islands. The post holder is expected to market ideas to grow business: achieve optimum use of employee resources available and meet budgeted productivity, whilst keeping level of service consistently high. In addition, the post holder will develop, implement, and monitor strategies, policies and practices in order to achieve the objectives of the Roberts Garages Group. This will include meeting the company’s Health & Safety, Human Resource and other legal responsibilities.
