Do you have a Passion for aviation, aircraft and travel, if so, Ortac are looking for Ground Operations Manager based at Jersey Airport.

The Role

The Ground Operations Manager is required to manage the ground operations ensuring a safe, efficient, reliable, high quality co-ordination of worldwide private jet operations.
The Ground Operations Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a standard of ground operations which meets all client and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Be the Ground Operations Post Holder, responsible for the safe and efficient management of all aspects of the Company's ground operations.
  • Liaising and coordinating with the relevant internal departments to organise logistics to meet client requirements
  • Developing and nurturing client relationships to ensure satisfaction and an outstanding luxury customer experience
  • Manage and monitor service providers to ensure the ground operations product is delivered effectively and to maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Administration and co-ordination of relevant management aircraft, including flight planning, flight despatch etc.

  • Ortac is an aircraft operator and management company based in Jersey. We currently manage and operate a mixed fleet of VIP aircraft, primarily providing operational support services to aircraft in varied regions, covering a wide geographical footprint 24/7, on a day to day basis.
 

 Qualifications / Skills / Competencies

  • Aviation Operations experience and background a bonus
  • Previous experience of managing a team of people and third party suppliers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in English, additional languages would be a bonus  
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • High degree of personal/professional flexibility
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Proven influencing and problem solving skills
  • Strong administration skills and experience, familiar with MS office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to drive change in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Tenacity and resilience to succeed in a fast paced and demanding operational environment with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills a must
