This international financial services business now has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to join them as their Group Compliance Director.

Job Description

  • Maintenance and enhancements to the Group CMP
  • Analysing risk data and monitoring output; ability to interpret and summarise this into periodic reports for Group ExCo, Audit and Risk Committee and the Group Board;
  • Liaison with Regional Compliance Directors in relation to material matters arising from CMP, internal / external audit, regulatory inspections;
  • Manage escalation of material regulatory issues /CDD/AML/CFT queriesaffecting the business;
  • Support the development of Ethics and Compliance awareness campaigns;
  • Promote and encourage a culture of compliance and ethics throughout business

Skills and Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of risk best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of risk related policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Strong business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
  • Solid understanding of the key deliverables required by diverse regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions
  • Excellent and effective communicator, written and verbal, with theability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow
  • Good inter-personal skills including the provision of training/imparting knowledge
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and prioritise workload using good judgement, while balancing the need for an immediate response with accuracy and completeness of information
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally
  • Ability to work cross-functionally / cross-border in a team environment
  • Systems aptitude
  • 10 years + Risk and/or Compliance experience

Qualifications and other requirements

Proactive and effective management and review of Group Compliance policies and procedures and best practices to support strategy and global business; Collaborate cross-functionally concerning decision-making responsibility for policy and procedure management;

  • Graduate or relevant professional compliance / risk qualification and/or experience
