Head of Compliance

CRS is seeking a Head of Compliance for a small and very friendly Wealth Management firm. This is a great opportunity to join this growing firm and become part of their future growth strategy.

Ideally they are looking for someone that can work independently and as part of a very close knit team. They are also willing to consider experienced compliance professionals from all business licenses.

The firm offers a great working atmosphere, along with a possible flex on hours and working from home. There is also some flexibility with regard to which of the Key Person roles the successful candidate will hold. This role could also be a Board position for the right candidate.

Job Description

• To act as the companys CO and possibly MLRO and or MLCO
• To act as Principal Person
• Form part of the Management Committee
• The provision of advice and technical expertise
• Ensuring the business has effective policies, procedures and controls
• Ensuring compliance with all of the companys regulatory obligations
• Attendance at key committees
• Analysis and assessment of regulatory developments
• Production of MI for the Board
• Provide advisory and operational support
• Managing the compliance team

Skills and Experience

• At least 10 years relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of Jersey regulation and legislation
• Knowledge of cross border considerations
• Ability to keep up to date and accurately interpret regulatory requirements
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently when required
• Accurate and methodical
• A recognised compliance qualification is desirable
