Type:Full Time

Full Description

Head of Internal Audit GET UNDER THE SKIN OF OUR DIVERSE BUSINESS It’s not surprising that most people don’t appreciate how diverse and far reaching our business actually is. In this newly created role, this will be your opportunity to really get under our skin and make a significant contribution to driving our dynamic and ambitious business forward compliantly and effectively.  We’ve invested significantly in both our people and our infrastructure, systems and processes over the past few years. This includes a robust Lean-based on-going continuous improvement programme that is amplifying a change in mindset throughout the entire organisation where we challenge what we do and how we do it to. We’re now looking for an experienced internal auditor to manage and bring a coherent and systematic approach to our risk management, control and governance processes by shaping, planning and implementing a high-quality audit programme.  Our operating arena is complex and, in part, regulated. It has numerous codes of practice and multiple management systems, such as maritime and air navigation, security, safety, finance, quality and environmental.  With sound knowledge of accounting controls, procedures and standards, you probably have audit and/or accounting qualifications. By drawing on talented resources from across the business to implement the programme will enable you to get to grips with our unusual mix of activities in a supportive team culture. Inquisitive, meticulous, impartial and genuinely business-process savvy, you get under the skin to understand what our processes are ultimately designed to deliver, and ensure the appropriate ones are adopted and implemented compliantly. You read between the lines and find the truths that really matter. You have the confidence and credibility to say what needs to be said respectfully, and generate punchy and robust reports to improve operational efficiency and inform our business decision-making strategies. Perceptive critical analysis and clear lateral and logical thinking are imperative as you link the small detail to the bigger picture.  You never forget that this is as much about people as it is about process, and you engage openly and constructively. Likewise, you display impressive leadership skills and create shared commitment so that your core audit team excel collectively.  If you have heaps of positive energy to juggle exacting demands and are excited to show exactly what you’re capable of in a fast-growing, agile and ambitious business, please give Zoltan a call on [01534] 446015 to find out more.  Application closes: 02/08/2018

Please note that (unless otherwise stated) our vacancies require candidates to be entitled to work or to have 5 years continuous residency in Jersey under the Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law 2012.
