Full Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Development, the IT Developer is responsible for designing, developing and supporting quality software solutions, to complement and integrate with Ogier's existing suite of applications, in support of Ogier's business objectives and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis and Design; collaborate with a range of business staff, IT and broader business services teams to help elicit software solution requirements and create design proposals
- Develop; adhere to the prevailing Ogier development frameworks, ensuring all code/solutions are inline with the required standards, in particular the principles of secure development
- Testing; ensure software solutions are comprehensive tested
- Deployment; help create deployment plans to ensure a smooth implementation and/or transition to the new software solution
- Support; provide technical support to software solutions developed by the IT Development Team.
- Keep at the forefront of the development technology discipline, identifying and recommending innovative technologies that would benefit Ogier accomplish business objectives
Skills Knowledge and Expertise- Highly developed IT development skills, with demonstrable experience of designing, developing and supporting business critical IT solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft stack for development, SQL Server, Azure SQL, c# .NET core, JavaScript and established visual frameworks.
- Strong client service mentality
- Structured approach to planning and prioritisation of workload for self
- Proven diagnostic, problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential in order to translate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Self-driven, confident and willing to take on responsibility with the ability to balance competing demands
- Excellent collaboration skills through strong stakeholder management
Professional Qualifications - Minimum three years in a similar role
- Relevant development certification/qualifications
- ITIL Foundation
