IT Senior AdministratorSalary: NegotiableLocation: JerseySpecialism: IT, Tech and Development Specific duties will vary on a day to day basis as the Companys priorities and reporting obligations change however the primary duties as directed by the CIO will be as follows: Support the extraction of data from core systems as required by the business  Data integrity - assist in the checking and reconciliation of data held in core systems to help identify data that may be missing and/or data that may need to be corrected or deleted  Liaise with business owners as necessary to ensure that any missing mandatory information is obtained from relevant sources (clients, intermediaries etc) and oversee the update of information in core systems Assist with testing and validating system upgrades prior to release to the business and support the training of business users on any new functionality  Assist with testing when new systems are deployed   Assist with data migration and population of any new or replacement systems Seek to identify any repeating errors or issues that stem from a lack of operational rigour or poor working practices in other parts of the business and report to management Information security Maintenance of Info Sec systems and procedures Monitoring of systems and reporting on anomalies Key Responsibilities First line response for IT hardware, software support issues and telephony support issues. Logging, classifying and tracking resolution of support requests  Resolving or escalating support issues in a timely manner to management or appropriate external IT support professionals. Maintenance and assistance with testing of the disaster recovery and business continuity plans Skills, Knowledge & Expertise A minimum of 3 years experience in an IT technical support role Good working knowledge of computer hardware/software systems including hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, installation and configuration Experience working within ITIL or similar framework A modern understanding and experience information security practices Relevant qualification in business information technology, computer networking and hardware would be welcome, but not necessarily a prerequisite depending on experience Ability to think logically Problem solving skills Ability to work well under pressure to deadlines and prioritise workload High level of attention to detail Good interpersonal, communication and team-working skills especially in explaining solutions to software problems
