Full Description

Our client is seeking to appoint a Junior Fund Accountant. The role will be responsible for undertaking bookkeeping, accounting and reporting services for a portfolio of complex alternative investment fund structures. The role holder will be required to undertake directed work and take responsibility for the achievement of the deadlines communicated by his/her Manager and the adherence to standard policy and procedures. The position is open to interested candidates that have completed A Levels or international equivalent. Key responsibilities include: Undertaking the bookkeeping for a portfolio of complex alternative investment fund structures and conducting full, detailed reviews of own work prior to submission for review by the Senior Fund Accountant. Demonstrating competence with all fund accounting work and progressing with more complex cases and an increased volume of work as knowledge of the entities and accounting standards (and professional studies) increases. Maintaining pro-active communication to ensure that the Fund Accounting Manager is kept appraised of the status of all deliverables. Working closely with counterparts on other teams to ensure seamless and coordinated service delivery. Maintaining files in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Proactively look to develop own skills within the wider business and assisting other teams In addition to the duties listed above, the Fund Accountant may be requested to perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the Fund Accounting Manager.
