JOB DETAILS

We’re looking for a Move More Disability & Inclusion Officer to increase access to sporting and physical activity opportunities for people with disabilities and minority groups within the island.

As our Move More Disability & Inclusion Officer, you will need to provide and implement solutions to complex equality and diversity challenges – particularly relating to disability, as part of the Move More Jersey initiative, to deliver on the Inspiring an Active Jersey Strategy.

You will work in a coordinated capacity with the Move More Jersey Manager and relevant stakeholders, to promote and embed a culture change towards inclusion and diversity in how physical activity is delivered on-island. You will need to be an advocate for minority groups, maximise local resources and reduce barriers to physical activity. You will also be expected to devise and implement programmes which encourage engagement and sustained participation in physical activity for people with disabilities, and the hardest to reach groups within our society.

You should have an excellent track record in delivering health and/or exercise based programmes, as well as experience in managing projects involving a variety of stakeholders.

SALARY
£30,000 - £43,000 FTE (depending on experience) + 10% Cash Pension Contribution
